When I finally got both of them, our food, toys and sidewalk chalk outside, I realized how stinkin' cold it really was! That's right everyone, we are having another cold front come our way. Needless to say we gathered everything up and came back inside...it even ended up snowing later that day!
This is a picture of poor Carter, bummed out that he has to stay indoors with mom again...
As much as I love Spring time...I HATE the mud associated with it! Timmy digs holes all over our yard...we've tried so many things with him to get him to stop..but from the picture I'm sure you can tell nothing has worked!
This is a precious photo of my two "boys." On Wednesdays the garbage man comes to get our trash and I make the BIGGEST deal out of it...yeh I am that lame. After a few weeks of the garbage man looking at me with Carter by the window and Timmy barking up a storm, he finally realized that he was the highlight of our morning. Now he honks his horn and waves at us, which of course gets Timmy and Carter even MORE excited!
Tonight was a late night for me, so I didn't get home until around 7pm. On these nights I feel like I don't even get to see Carter because we eat dinner and he gets a bath and then it's off to bed for him. So, I dragged Scott into it, but we made sugar cookies tonight. I'm going to ice them with Carter in the morning. As much as Scott thought it was a boring idea...he really did get into it afterall.
Another new thing we've just started in our household is "Time Out." Carter is reaching the "terrible twos" and throws everything, hits and screams sometimes. I don't have patience for throwing things at people, especially food! So, now whenever he throws or hits, we put him facing the corner in the living room and tell him what he did wrong.Sometimes it works...but most of the time it really doesn't phase him. I know though, that one day it will and it really is never too early to start with this stuff. This is the closest picture I could get of him sitting in the corner. (As much as I'd like to have patience, I really just sit him in the corner and tell him what he did wrong and then I walk away. So he maybe sits in the corner for an entire 30 seconds if I'm lucky)
