Walk On!

Carter is beginning to take his first steps now. He gets up on his own in a standing position and takes afew steps before he remembers that crawling is faster for him and takes off!

Carter's a BIG BOY!

Carter is now officially a big boy who sleeps in a toddler bed! I absolutely love it. This is his crib, but it converts into a toddler bed and I just installed the rail today. I wanted to have Carter play in the new bed first so that he knoew what it was all about so taht when I put him down tonight, he wouldn't freak. And it worked! He knows how to get in and out of the bed now that it's lower to the ground and I love being able to let him chill in his room without worrying...now my laundry gets done so much faster!

Got Camera?

When Scott is busy all weekend like this with his Amsoil business, that leaves Carter, myself and Timmy to fend for ourselves. Needless to say I break out the camera...Carter got this fridge magnet Leap Frog Barnyard from his Aunt and Uncle in Iowa and his favorite thing to do is take the smaller pieces off of the fridge and put them in the drawer right next to our refridgerator. This activity keeps him busy for about 15 minutes at a time...I LOVE IT!

Amsoil to the Rescue!

Scott's Amsoil business has officially taken off! He has this weekend alone serviced 3 vehicles and brought in some great coin I might add. Over the last month, he has serviced a total of 8 cars and really did a great job with all of them. I call him the "Car Doctor." My mom explains what's wrong with her car in hand movements and sounds, Scott knowing that it's his mother-in-law goes with the flow and helps make her car run better. It's really fun to watch..(for about the first 5 minutes or so)

Carter has an aunt (my little sister) who absolutely loves Michigan and her nephew, put those two together and this is what you get...

He has the best smile in this picture, I was pleasantly surprised! Tim's favorite spot to hang out in our house is on the pillows of our new couches...
Here's a close up now that he has gotten his tri-yearly hair cut. I don't like him when his hair is short so we don't take him as often as we probably should. Oh well, he really doesn't seem to mind...

Our Two "Boys"

Okay so I know I only have one kid, but our little Timmy is seriously just like another kid in our family. Carter and Timmy LOVE to play with one another and share the life-size Elmo in this picture. Unforunately Elmo is no longer "g-rated" now that we've introduced him to Timmy. :) Ha Ha!

Here Timmy is so nice and is sharing his dog food with Carter. We have to put the dog food up on the counter or honestly Carter will eat it! He cringes at the sight of green beans but will eat dry dog food from the floor..go figure!

Suzie Homemaker Here I Come!

Okay, many of you may know that I am probably the farthest thing from being the traditional mom, however I have taken up a hobby that might surprise and maybe even impress you...SEWING! I first was against all methods of homemaking, however now I really do enjoy sewing because I am creating things all on my own. Sew far (ha ha) I have sewed four sets of curtains, 6 pillows and numerous blankets. Here is a picture of the newest pillows for our beautiful couches we bought.
I had enough fabric left over that I also made a cute mini size one for Carter's recliner.
And here is just a cute picture of Carter at his Great Grandpa's house.

Sometimes Eating is Just Sooo Hard!

Okay, so cute "Tarter Sauce" didn't have a very easy night last night so we were up around 3:30 this morning and and began our day...because our day started before the crack of dawn Carter was ready for his "lunch" at 9:00am. This is him about 5 minutes into to eating his second meal of the day.

Snow in Utah

We had an amazing amount of snow hit Utah over the past few weeks, and today it was a nice day out (you know above 30 degrees!) so Scott and I thought we show Carter what snow was all about.

Carter got made his very first snow angel in our mound of snow that was once our front yard. The picture kind of makes it look like we just threw him in the snow and left him for dead. :)

Carter seemed to like it to my surprise. Maybe next we'll break out the sleds!!!!

Big Boy Toothbrush

Today is a milestone in the Morris Household, Carter used his "big boy toothbrush" for the first time. He has a whopping 4 teeth so far and before we were using the fake toothbrush that fit on your finger with the kid toothpaste. Now though, Carter has been promoted to the big boy status when it comes to teeth brushing.

At first he wasn't sure if he liked it, but once Scott put the toothpaste on teh brush and put it in his mouth, Carter has not put the brush down yet!

Obviously it's the little things in life that get us excited in the Morris house.

Meal Time!

Okay so the pictures are bit blurry but Carter just would not sit still for anything. I wanted to get a cute one of him learning to eat of his own bowl. I tried to give him his own fork but he decided that his fingers worked so much better. The other picture is even more blurry but still funny because he probably has about 12 peaches in his mouth and 5 fishies but still manages to point at the camera in fascination.

Bath Time!

Carter's absolute most favorite time of day is in the evening when his dad gives him a bath. Every evening before bed Scott and Carter spend some quality time in the bathroom while Carter gets his much needed bath. I know not many of you get to see sweet Carter naked so here is a picture you might enjoy!

Just Another Relaxing Day!

Cute Carter got this "Lazy Babe" from his Grandma Morris this past Christmas and now enjoys watching Little Einsteins and drinking some juice while lounging in his chair.

Remodel!

As many of you might know, Scott and I are updating our home in Washington Terrace. So far we have carpeted the entire basement, painted almost every wall down there and decorated it, then for the upstairs we have re-done the two bedrooms and exposed the beautiful hardwood floors in the office and the family room, decorated and now we began our job of the dining room and kitchen. What we have done so far is cover up that bright orange back splash and retiled the counter tops, as well as lay tile over the gross linoleum that was here, (I made sure to put a picutre of the tile over the gross linoleum so that you could see just how awful it really was) and lastly I put a fresh coast of paint throughout the dining room.
So basically when we finish, there won't be a room in this house we haven't updated. It's only been a little over a year so far and we are cruising along in the remodel.

Here are some other fun Christmas pics from our three days of gift giving and partying! Carter was such a good sport in his Santa outfit for two of the three days.

This Past Christmas

Okay, Most of you didn't get to see Carter in his cute little Santa outfit on Christmas, so here is a good picture of him! The hat covers up his "elf ears" we said that he fits right in during the Christmas season! :)

Timothy Morris of Washington Terrace

Timmy is our little Shihtzu puppy. He's almost 14 months ols now and overall the best way to describe him is unique. Most dogs come to you when you call thier name, not Timmy; most dogs like to to chew bones away from everyone, not Timmy he chews his mini size bones ringht next to you: Most dogs don't like to eat goldfish crackers, well of course our wierd dog does! He's learning to share with Carter. :)

Sweet Carter

This is our little "Tarter Sauce!" We think he's the cutest little boy, but we are the parents so I think we're a little bias. :) Thsi picture was taken a month ago but is still the cutest one we have of him.

He is now 15 months old and seriously gets into EVERYTHING! he can't walk on his own yet, but that hasn't stopped him from getting where he wants to go. Overall he is a pretty well mannered little boy and loves to play in his play room with all of his toys most of the time. Scott and I are so lucky to have him in our lives, we joke about not having another child because Carter has been pretty easy so far. :) (For those of you that are hoping we'll have another, I'm just kidding!)
