A-Z Tag!

My cute friend and Carter's daycare provider Ash has tagged me for this A-Z thing. I actually like these though because everyone gets to know you a little better. For those of you that I've tagged, good luck!

A. Attached or Single? Attached for almost 7 years now

B. Best Friends? My longest friend Jimmy Yu and my maid of honor Rachel Pezely

C. Cake or Pie? Pie for sure! Strawberry is my favorite

D. Day of Choice? Saturday because I usually am not obligated to go anywhere and I like my relaxed days

E. Essential item? Carmex, I’m a huge fan! I can’t go anywhere (even to sleep) without it.

F. Favorite color? Purple

G. Greatest accomplishment? The year 2006: Scott and I got married, I graduated from the University of Utah, I gave birth to Carter and we bought a house. (All in that order too!)

H. Hometown? I was born in Tucson, AZ but have moved all around the world with the military.

I. Indulgences? Spoiling my son and buying things to decorate my home.

J. January or July? July of course! I am not a winter person so July is more my style.

K. Kids? Just Carter for now and once we get our finances in order maybe another one.

L. Life is incomplete without? Carter and Scott. I love to spend time as a family, Carter always, always makes me smile and Scott is my best friend.

M. Marriage date? May 27, 2006 (Scott says we’ve been married since September 13, 2001 though)

N. Number of Siblings? This is a little trickier for me: I have 3 half sisters and 1 half brother, so basically I’m an only child (with none of the benefits)

O. Oranges or Apples? Oranges any day. You can do so many things with oranges, from juice to potpourri

P. Phobias or fears? The dark, I know it’s childish but I hate not being able to see everything.

Q. Quotes? I just bought vinyl lettering with this quote “Love isn’t about counting the years, it’s about making the years count.”

R. Reason to smile? Carter, he dances (I call it shaking his bum) talks in his own language and makes me really appreciate everything I have.

S. Season? Spring…I love the flowers (getting my yard beautiful) and the planning of summer activities.

T. Tag three friends? Andrea Morris, Azure Gaskill, JaNae Wales

U. Unknown Fact About Me? I’m a little bit of a control freak (but I can back down when needed)

V. Very Favorite Store? Michael’s and Target. Target for fun stuff like clothes, shoes or household things but Michael’s for the activities and crafts to do by myself or with Carter.

W. Worst Habit? I bite my nails and pick at my cuticles. It’s really bad because I hurt myself sometimes.

X. X-ray or Ultrasound? Those 3-D ultrasounds are so cool now! I so want to do that for my next pregnancy

Y. Your Favorite Food? Goodwood’s Onion Rings. I know it’s sounds funny but anyone’s who’s had them has to agree they are out of this world (even for those who don’t like onions, like my hubby)

Z. Zodiac? Gemini, it’s the split personality one and only my close family and Scott have seen both sides.

Timmy the Stud!

For those of you that don't know, Scott and I occasionally stud Timmy out. This past weekend, he met a new "girlfriend" and they really were hilarious to watch.
She was a little taller than Tim so he had some issues and would get tired and lay down next to her...she would then "show him how it's done." (notice Tim's the one on the bottom)

Baby Expo

This weekend the Southtown Expo Center had the Baby Expo! My sister and I woke Carter up at the crack of dawn to drive down to Sandy so that we could be one of the first 500 people there so that we could get a babies R us gift bag...I'm proud to say that we were and we walked away with so many freebies!

They had a ton of things to do for all the kids there, I'm really glad we went because it was a great experience for Carter~

A Great Idea!

This is such a cute idea...I'll admit I saw this on another blog..but it's still really cute! All you need are those craft stones (like the ones that go in a fish tank), magnets and fun colored paper (like from a magazine) Then you cut out the paper, glue it to the stone, then glue the magnet on and YOU'RE DONE! It's so stinkin' cute~

I love them because Carter has gotten into this "throwing everything" phase and this way these magnets are tough enough to withstand that.

A Honda LIMO????

I was driving by this the other day and about died! This is a Honda Accord Limo. It's even funnier because of who I'm married to, Scott is a Honda FREAK! I just had to post these because they are so funny....

Pretty cool huh Steve?

Our New FLOOR!

Okay, so I know everyone's so excited to see our new floor...I'm sure no one is as excited as me though. Here are some before pics of our nasty floor that we tried to tile and then had to pull all of those up and so it has glue, grout and disgusting linoleum.

We are still in need of baseboards and some other finishing touches, but the main part is over!

Crazy Hats!

My little Carter is such a good sport about wearing anything and everything I put on him, these are some really funny pics of him wearing the CRAZIEST hats!

Silly Daddy, Rides are For Kids!

These pics were taken on Saturday, we stopped by the BX on base after the Easter Egg Hunt and thought Carter would like this little ride...
Since Carter made it look so much fun....Scott decided to get in himself!

Crazy boys!

Carter the Baker~

I love to bake, not cook (we all know I'm the not the world's best cook) but man can I make some delicious desserts! So I thought Carter and I would have some fun with my mom's cool cookie cutters!

What better cookie cutters for Scott's son right?

Timmy's a DADDY!

Our sweet little Timothy is now officially a daddy! His "girlfriend" gave birth a bout 6 weeks ago to five adorable little ones! Here is the sweetest photo that the owner emailed me of Timmy's puppies.

"Moore" Family Fun!

Get it? "Moore" my family's last name is Moore! (I know I'm lame) anyway, here are some great photos of the different things we've been doing these past two weeks~
This first picture is at "SuperHero Night" at the Davis library, they had capes for all the little guys and masks, and so many things for them to do to feel like superheroes. It was a really idea for families to come to for free and have the kids enjoy themselves...
This was at Barnes and Noble. Thanks to my sister-in-law I now am a huge fan of Barnes and Noble. Carter absolutely LOVES the kids' corner.
I know this is a blurry pic, but Carter loves loves loves this new boat my mom and sister bought for him. It rocks back and forth, so there was no way I was getting a focused picture.
And lastly, this is of Carter eating an apple...I know that seems like a random pic but he would bitw down with his four teeth on the slice of apple and walk around with it sidways in his mouth. It was really funny!

Easter Pics FINALLY!

Happy "Late" Easter everyone! I know I'm a few days late on the post, but it's better late than never right? Here are some cute photos that were taken over the Easter weekend...
They had an amazing Easter Egg Hunt on Hill AFB for all the kids, they did it by age so Carter was with everyone under 2 years...I have to say for as cold and windy as it was that morning, we all had a blast! The base really put on a great hunt, there were a TON of eggs and they were filled with mini toys for the little ones. (cute idea) This picture looks like we're on a field of dirt, well we are...it's the base baseball field~
This idea I totally stole from my favorite cute sister-in-law...I love peeps and when I saw this wreath I knew I had to have one of my own...
This picture is at Target...though Carter doesn't look the slightest bit amuzed, my sister and I were having so much fun dressing him up in things~
And this is just a funny pic of Carter because of how he's sitting...
Happy Easter everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday.

Out of My Element!

Okay, so I know it's been forever since my last post, but things in the Morris household have been so crazy and stressful over the last two weeks, so let me catch everyone up...

Scott and I are getting our floors in the kitchen and dining room done by a company that does residential concrete flooring. It sounds weird but they make the floor look like stone, it's AWESOME. Well, unfortunately this process has forced Carter and I to live with my mom while all of this takes place because I am not about to chase Carter around everywhere for two weeks.

So, I am at my mom's with Carter and Scott has had to deal with the coordination of his schedule at work with the workers for the floor. So we haven't seen eachother on over a week and both of us have been under a great deal of stress. So, I do have plenty of photos to post about all of the fun things I've been doing while not living at my home, but my cute mom still has dial-up and I don't have the time or patience. So, as soon as I can I will be posting some more fun photos of our little family.

Sticky, Gooey Mess!

This Picture makes Carter look like he has a lazy eye! This kid got sooo freaking dirty today at dinner it's rediculous! He normally doesn't get every item of food in his hair, eyes and forehead like he did tonight... He really seemed to be enjoying himself though, so I let it happen.

Because Carter was already really messy, I figured that it would be a good time for a craft project for him and I to do together. (He is really messy with those beginner crayola things) so this was perfect! I got to use the table and chairs for the first time as a craft table tonight.
One of my favorite things about Carter is that he sits on his feet...Scott makes fun of me because I still do this. (I'm too short most of the time, what can I say?)
And, when Carter sits anywhere that his legs dangle, like this cute chair because he's still little, he crosses them. I know it's a weird picture, but these are things that make me smile and seem to make everything worth it at the end of the day~

Quality Time~

Scott has been working so much these past few months (12 hours days almost 7 days a week) so when he's home Carter is so excited. This first picture is of Carter, not with Scott but it's so funny I had to share...he got in this basket I had on the entertainment center to hold his toys and got stuck!
Okay, here are some cute pictures of Scott and Carter...and if you're wondering yes it's ice cream that Scott's giving him. Carter loves to sit with Scott on the recliner and hang out, Scott doesn't agree with me but I think Carter likes to sit with him so much is because he usually has good treats mom won't let him usually have.

Spring is Coming....

Today was such a beautiful day that as soon as I got home from work around 6pm we went for a walk around our neighborhood. There's this great park with a playground and a great paved sidwalk so walk along. Scott and I took Timmy and Carter there almost everyday last summer.

As we were getting ready to leave, I put the leash on Timmy and Carter got a hold of it...
Here's just a couple of photos of our family after our first walk of the season...

Communicating?

Carter can only say a few "words" right now, the rest comes out in jibberish. He has learned though about signing things to me in order to communicate. I love it because he's less frusterated and I can give what he wants without the screaming. :)

He points at me if I have something he wants and then points at himself. It's really funny to see this little boy try to tell me something. It's just another reminder that he's not a baby anymore, he's a little boy.

I'm Full of 'Em!

I don't know what has gotten into my lately but I have been in the "crafty" mood. Here is a really cute idea that came to me becuase of my lack of creativity. I am not a scrapbooker, I know that may come as a shock (just kdding, everyone knows I do scrapbooking but I'm not good at it.) But this is a way to use your pictures without the need for skill...

All it takes is some magnets (preferrably the ones that have a sticky side to them, like business card magnets) and some family pictures. As you can see, I did all different sizes using one or two magnets each.

Carter loves to see the pictures of everyone, he takes them on and off the fridge and hands them to me to tell him everyone's name. It's seriously so muchfun, kid-friendly, and helps Carter with his fine-motor skills.
