BIG NEWS!!!! I just gave my notice on Wednesday! Scott and I have been talking about making a change in our lives for a few months now and "signs" just kept happening....and now I am quitting. I agreed to give my boss a month to find a replacement and have me train them, so until September 1st I'm still working part-time, but after that I'm a full-time "stay at home mom!" (I honestly NEVER thought I would ever be or want to be a stay at home mom and now here I am!)
Scott and I have been working on our relationship and planning our future....which one day soon will hopefully include another member in our family. As much as I want this change (and as much as it needs to happen for our family) I've been there for almost 2 years now and it's been the only job I've ever had while Carter's been in our lives. So it's a little sad to think about letting go, but I know it's the right decision.
Although, things really aren't changing for another month, I just had to share with everyone the latest "news" in our household.

Wow, that's great! I mean I understand about being sad leaving work...I was a little sad when I left, but I was only there a year. Now you can hang out with Megan and I during the week, we'll have to go do some fun things. I think you'll enjoy being home with Carter everyday!
Hooray for you! I totally understand where you are coming from. i was sad when I quit working, and I never imagined myself wanting to be a stay home mom because I love working, but now that I stay home I never want to go back to work! Funny how much kids change us. I hope you will love being with Carter every day as much as I love being with my girls!
Yay Yay foy you!!!! I am so glad that I got to talk to you this morning...and that we are not left for dead somewhere in Iowa!HA I don't EVER want to go back to work again, but I guess that is life--so I am jsut enjoying all the time off while I can, and really just enjoy being a stay at home mom! I love the pics above btw....we need some of those pics here of my nephew to put on our fridge!
Hey Christie, You and JaNae should get together. Did you know you can make money blogging about different things. JaNae is in the process of doing this. If your intersted shoot me an email and I'll send you some information. You dont make alot of money doing it. The top performers only made a little over 2,000 dollars last month, but being a stay at home mom, its always nice to have a little extra income. Let me know if your interested or anyone else you know that might be.
I am so jealous!!! What I wouldn't give to be able to quit my job. Good for you!!!! Even if it doesn't happen until November, at least it is going to happen. Congrats!!!
