Carter's New Room!

As you might know our house has two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs. We're using one room upstairs as an office and the other is Carter's playroom. Well, Carter's "bedroom" was weird because you had to enter through our room and then you could get to his room (which then lead to the bathroom) Well, as convenient as it was to have Carter so close to us as an infant...we;ve come to HATE the fact that he's that close to us now that he's older. But there was no way he was going to be on a separate floor than us every night.
SOLUTION: Have another bedroom built in the basement.
Here's the progress!

it's just a small room but all Carter does down here is sleep. But since I do feel bad that it's a small room, I decorated in BRIGHT colors to cheer it up. And he's now sleeping on a twin bed. I wanted the bed to be close to the ground so he could get in and out so right now he just sleeps on a mattress and box spring (without the frame) and I must admit.... I LOVE IT! He does so well sleeping at night and for naps.
It's so nice that Scott can take a shower in the morning without worrying if he'll wake up Carter at 3am too!

WOW, what a job!! It looks good, I don't know if I'd even know where to start about building a new room! Looks like you guys are growing pretty well into your house! Do you think you guys will be there for awhile? Anyway looks really good! And yes we do need to get together sometime, we should hang out with the Benoits sometime.

The Benoit's agree we NEED to get together soon. Carter's room looks great & I am sure that it's a lot nicer not to have to worry about waking Carter up when you shower...Great job on the room.
